Featuring large heads with “Tegara”, which refers to the decorative cloth wrapped around Japanese traditional hairstyles, the bodies are intricately painted with chrysanthemums, cherry blossoms, wood grain, and lathe patterns. The dolls have crescent-shaped eyebrows and eyes, lending them an air of refined beauty and a dreamy expression, representing a pinnacle of Kokeshi craftsmanship.
