Produced in Naruko Onsen, Miyagi Prefecture. The fitted neck makes a distinctive squeaking sound when turned. The body is decorated with chrysanthemum patterns.
It is the production site with the highest number of craftsmen, and the hot spring town is lined with Kokeshi shops. A Kokeshi collector once praised the beauty of Naruko’s Kokeshi stating, “Kokeshi begin and end with Naruko.”
